Vesuvius, a business partner of ESL Steel Limited, has strengthened its CSR efforts by inaugurating four Smart Bio Toilets and a Pure Drinking Water Machine at ESL’s project sites. A Menstrual Hygiene Awareness session was conducted to educate schoolgirls on healthier practices, alongside the distribution of 450 school bags. A tree plantation drive at Madhunia High School further highlighted their focus on environmental sustainability.
The event was graced by esteemed dignitaries, including Pratima Das, Block Education Officer; Pradeep Kumar, Madhunia Panchayat Mukhiya; Suman Trivedi, Head Refractory, ESL; Kunal Daripa, Head CSR, ESL; and Arvind Kumar Singh, Business Head, Vesuvius India Limited (VIL). Representatives from Vesuvius India Limited, Vedanta ESL’s CSR team, and school authorities also participated actively.
Speaking at the event, Suman Trivedi emphasized the initiative’s goal of creating safer, healthier environments. "These steps reflect our commitment to community welfare, empowering students to lead more confident lives," she said.
This program aligns with ESL’s broader vision of sustainable development, focusing on health, education, and environmental care.
