BJP hits out at AAP Government, accuses Kejriwal, Atishi of political fraud

Delhi BJP on Wednesday hit out at the AAP government and charged Arvind Kejriwal and Atishi of political fraud.  This accusation came in the backdrop of controversy surrounding Sanjeevani health scheme and Mahila Samman scheme promising a monthly allowance to women.

Addressing a joint conference, state BJP president Virendra Sachdeva and Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Vijender Gupta said the AAP government stands exposed in the eyes of the public.  The BJP also claimed the ruling party is writhing like someone caught in the act of committing wrongdoing or theft.

Delhi BJP President said that Kejriwal should apologize to the people of Delhi for the fake Mahila Samman and Sanjeevani schemes.

Sachdeva remarked that after returning from jail,  Kejriwal had to resign as the Chief Minister of Delhi and began to see his defeat in the upcoming assembly elections. At this point, he started announcing schemes that were entirely fictional and lacked any ground implementation.

The state BJP chief highlighted that for the first time in 12 years of power, a government promised to fix erroneous electricity and water bills, ensure the supply of clean water instead of dirty water, and repair broken roads — but only after being re-elected to power.

When these false promises began to fail, Kejriwal tried repackaging his previously announced Mahila Samman Scheme, but it is not working. After deceiving women in Punjab with the same scheme, Kejriwal tried to sell the dream of Rs 2,100 per month to women in Delhi, Sachdeva said.

The Delhi BJP President added that while BJP MPs were fighting in the Delhi High Court for the implementation of the Ayushman Bharat scheme in Delhi, Kejriwal opposed it. Instead, he sold another dream by promising to implement the “Sanjeevani Scheme” for senior citizens after the elections.

He concluded that instead of launching a fake Mahila Samman Scheme, the Delhi government should have learned from states like Madhya Pradesh and Haryana and implemented the Ayushman Bharat scheme in Punjab and 32 other states.

For the first time in history, the Chief Minister and the ruling party are spreading false schemes after 12 years in power, and ultimately, to prevent the public from being misled, officials had to fulfill their duty and issue a “public warning” to make the public aware, the BJP charged.

Leader of the Opposition in the Delhi Assembly, Vijender Gupta, said the Kejriwal government has once again been exposed. Today, the revelation from the public notification of the Delhi government has used a word – “fraud.”

Gupta referred to his letter written to Chief Minister Atishi on November four, saying that the AAP government had promised to give Rs one thousand rupees to each person in Delhi before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections and had them fill out forms, saying that they would provide one thousand rupees to all applicants starting in April. However, as soon as the elections ended, the AAP government’s promise was forgotten, and they did not give a single penny.

Gupta appealed to people whose money is being withdrawn after providing OTP to contact the BJP, promising to help get their money back. Staff Reporter n New Delhi
