Vedanta ESL Steel Limited recently hosted two highly successful Mega Health Camps under its Project MACE healthcare initiative. These camps, held at Bokaro's Sector 6 and Alkusha village, were tailored to address the medical needs of senior citizens. The events witnessed significant participation, reaffirming Vedanta ESL's commitment to community well-being.
The Sector 6 camp, organised in partnership with Medicant Hospital, provided medical screenings for conditions like blood pressure, thyroid issues, and diabetes. Senior doctors from multiple disciplines, including orthopaedics and ophthalmology, offered their expertise. The event was graced by CISF IG Digvijay Kumar Singh, who praised Vedanta ESL's past community contributions, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Similarly, the Alkusha camp focused on the healthcare needs of elderly residents in rural Bokaro. Collaborating with institutions like Akash Hospital, Sanjeev Netralaya, and Dr Puja’s Dental Clinic, the camp provided consultations and screenings, ensuring a broad spectrum of medical support.
Speaking about the initiative, Kunal Daripa, Head of CSR at Vedanta ESL Steel Limited, emphasised the importance of regular medical check-ups for the elderly and highlighted the role of prevention in addressing health issues effectively and affordably.
Through projects like MACE, Vedanta ESL continues to champion initiatives that support the physical and mental well-being of senior citizens, making a meaningful impact on the local community.
