Vedanta ESL Archery Academy, established by ESL Steel Limited in 2020, showcased its success as Kuldeep Mahato delivered an outstanding performance at the State Selection Trials in Jamshedpur on December 14, 2024. The 10th-grade student from Bijulia High School scored 697 out of 720 points, securing second place and earning a spot on the Jharkhand team for the 41st NTPC Sub-Junior National Archery Championship in Jaipur, Rajasthan, from January 3 to 10, 2025.
Located in Siyaljori, Vedanta ESL Archery Academy has trained rural talent to excel in sports, producing 185 medalists since its inception. Kunal Daripa, Head CSR, ESL Steel Limited, said, “Kuldeep’s achievement reflects the immense potential of rural youth when provided with the right resources and guidance. We remain committed to empowering such talent through our academy.”
