VBSY camps evoke broad response

As many as 1.34 lakh people have participated in the 167 camps held as part of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra in Chhattisgarh’s Dhamtari district, an official communiqué said on Friday.

Dhamtari Collector Namrata Gandhi said information about welfare schemes must reach every region so that no beneficiary is left out. So far, 138 villages have been given certificates for 100 percent digitization of land records and 30 villages have been added to the list of villages with water connections at every household. Free health checkups were given to 47,676 beneficiaries. Also, 28,793 people have been tested for tuberculosis and 17,078 for sickle cell. Ayushman cards have been issued to 1,182 beneficiaries, 1,681 were given gas connections under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana and 919 have been registered under insurance schemes.
