UT Estate Office to launch online portal for grievance redressal today

UT-Chandigarh Estate Office is set to revolutionize its grievance redressal mechanism with the launch of a dedicated online portal.

 

The move came in the wake of challenges faced by certain applicants during the Grievance Redressal camps held on December 16 and 17. During these camps, it came to light that some applicants, who had submitted requests both online and offline, encountered difficulties as their applications remained unattended by the Estate Office.

 

In response to these observations, UT Finance Secretary Vijay Namdeorao Zade announced the upcoming launch of an innovative online portal designed to cater specifically to applicants whose requests have not been resolved.

 

Scheduled to go live on January 1, 2024, the user-friendly portal aimed to provide a seamless platform for applicants to address their concerns, irrespective of whether they submitted their requests online or through traditional channels. The initiative sets specific timelines for grievance resolution, streamlining property-related issue handling for transparent and efficient outcomes.

 

Developed by the National Informatics Centre, UT Chandigarh, the portal promises a user-friendly experience, offering a relief mechanism with just a click. Notably, grievances submitted through the portal will be monitored at the highest authority level in the Estate Department, ensuring a swift and effective resolution process.

 

Applicants can expect their grievances to be promptly forwarded to the relevant branch for redressal, with notifications sent to keep them informed of the progress. This approach not only enhances transparency but also allows the Estate Office to evaluate the efficacy of grievance redressal efforts.

 

Furthermore, the Estate Office plans to leverage the data from received grievances to identify and rectify systemic issues causing delays in case disposal. This proactive measure ensures that remedial actions are implemented promptly, preventing unnecessary hardships for the public and enhancing the overall efficiency of the grievance redressal system.
