Two sisters drown in a pond in village Amla of Ratibad area

Two sisters died due to drowning in the pond built in the field of village Amla located in Ratibad area of Bhopal. The incident occured place on Friday morning around 10:30 am.

Police have recovered both the bodies. The police have established a case and started an investigation. Both the bodies have been sent to the mortuary of Hamidia Hospital for PM.

According to the information, both Deepti Verma (13) and Tanushree Verma (9) are real sisters, and lived in village Badjhiri. His father Raja Ram Verma works as a fertilizer seller in the village itself. His shop is near his house.

At around 9 in the morning, both the sisters along with their mother Chinta Bai had gone to their own farm in village Amla. Mother had to work to extract onions from here. There is a pond in the field itself. Mother got busy with work, meanwhile both the sisters went into the pond to take bath.

The mother did not even know when both of them drowned together. At around 10:30 the mother remembered her daughters. When he looked around his daughters were nowhere to be seen. Despite calling out, no response was received. After this she went near the pond and saw the bodies of her daughters in the water. She alerted and called the people nearby. The villagers took the body out of the water. After this the police were informed. The police took the body into custody and sent it to the PM.

The girls' father Raja Ram said that both Deepti and Tanushree studied in a school in the village. Deepti studied in fifth class and Tanushree studied in third class. I have four daughters, the eldest was Payal, the second was Ridima, the third was Deepti and the fourth was Tanushree.

The only son is Madhusudan, and he is the youngest. The daughters had gone to the fields with their mother, where while playing they went to take a bath in the pond and both of them died due to drowning.

ASI KP Mishra, who is investigating the case, said that in the preliminary investigation, it is suspected that one person died due to drowning while trying to save one. When the girls' mother reached the pond, she saw the body of one daughter floating in the water, while the other body came up from the water after some time. The matter has been resolved. The matter is being investigated from all angles.
