Sleuths of the Special Task Force of Uttar Pradesh claimed to have arrested two more members of the gang which leaked the review officers (RO)/assistant review officers (ARO) exam paper.

In an official communique on Friday, the STF said that two members of the gang named Sanjay Singh Kushwaha and Kameshwar Nath Maurya were arrested on Thursday.

The paper of the RO/ARO exam to be held on February 11, 2024 was leaked. The mastermind of the gang which leaked the paper has already been arrested.

A Scorpio, mobile phone and Rs 3,500 in cash have been recovered from the arrested accused. Both the accused are residents of Prayagraj.

The STF was tipped off by an informer on Thursday that two active members of the paper leak gang, Kameshwar Nath Maurya and Sanjay Singh Kushwaha, were sitting in a black Scorpio parked on the road behind Ghosh Sweet House in Prayagraj. On this information, the STF team reached the spot and arrested both the accused.

During interrogation, the accused disclosed that Rajiv Nayan Mishra alias Rahul and Ravi Atri were the masterminds of the gang which leaked the paper of RO/ARO Exam-2023 and Constable Recruitment Exam-2023 held on February 11.

Before the RO/ARO examination, Sunil Raghuvanshi, who worked in the printing press where the papers were printed, got the paper out before the examination and delivered it to Rajiv Nayan Mishra and other accused through Vishal Dubey and Subhash Prakash.

Further, it was disclosed that Rajiv Nayan Mishra and other accused, in the greed of earning more and more money, had sent the paper to them as well as their gang members and agents. Along with the gang members, they had also fixed Rs 12 lakh per candidate and some money was also taken from the candidates in advance, due to which the paper went viral on social media.

During interrogation, the arrested accused said that they had taken the candidates of UP Police Constable Recruitment Examination-2023 in their Scorpios and buses to provide them the papers at Shiv Mahashakti Resort in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh. At the same time, they had also sent Rs 5 lakh to the account of the resort owner for this.

Ever since the case was registered against the paper leak gang, they were hiding to evade arrest.

The police have registered an FIR against the accused under several sections of the law at Civil Lines police station in Prayagraj.
