Tribal Welfare Commissioner Ajay Nath Jha today inspected the hostel construction work of Backward Caste Girls Residential School, Ranchi, the training being given to the female trainees of Kalyan Gurukul in Bundu and Birsa Munda DAV Residential School in Bundu. Jha took stock of the purity and quality of food given to the students. He inspected the store house and checked the quality of food items. He instructed the teachers present that there should be no laxity in the studies of the children, cleanliness of the school premises and the facilities provided to the children.
He said that the ST, SC children are leaving their homes and studying in residential schools to get a good education, so provide good quality education to the children and also take special care that the children do not face any kind of problem here.
Notably, Minister of Scheduled Tribe, Scheduled Caste and Backward Class Welfare Department, Chamra Linda has instructed the regional officers including the Tribal Welfare Commissioner of Welfare to stay in the area on Friday and Saturday and personally inspect the department's schemes, residential schools and hostels.
During the inspection, the TWC directed to complete the construction work of the hostel of Backward Caste Girls Residential School being built in Ranchi by 15 August 2025 in any case. He said that the construction work should be completed soon so that the girls can be shifted to the new hostel as soon as possible. He said that for the safety of the girls, women home guards should be deployed during the construction work of the hostel. There should be no laxity in the quality of work. He said that the allocation is available with the Ranchi Project Director, so the construction work should continue day and night.
Jha said that the training, discipline and cleanliness of Bundu Kalyan Gurukul of Prejha Foundation is exemplary and ideal. The eagerness to learn among the female trainees taking training in this institute impresses. A woman receiving training on the spot told the Tribal Welfare Commissioner that I have to learn and move forward not for myself but to take my village forward. On the occasion, the Tribal Welfare Commissioner directed that as soon as the school opens on 5 January, the orders should be strictly followed in Birsa Munda DAV Residential School located in Bundu regarding food, cleanliness of the hostel and improvement in the time-table of school operation. On the occasion, he said that this school has won gold and silver medals in important national sports competitions of DAV Group in the past few days, for which I congratulate and wish them on my behalf. Ranchi ITDA Project Director Sanjay Kumar Bhagat was present on the occasion.
