In preparation for the upcoming voting on May 25, 2024, for the Giridih and Dhanbad Lok Sabha constituencies, polling personnel will be sent to the Bokaro Steel City's Sector 08, located at Bokaro Ispat Senior Secondary School (Dispatch Center), on Friday, May 24. To review these preparations, District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Vijaya Jadhav held a crucial meeting on Wednesday at the District Collectorate . The meeting was attended by DDC Sandeep Kumar, DPLR Menka, Additional Collector Mumtaz Ansari, Civil Surgeon Dr. Dinesh Kumar, and District Transport Officer Vandana Shejwalkar, among others.
During the meeting, DEO Jadhav emphasized that the duty orders for officials and staff assigned to the dispatch center have already been issued. She assured that all personnel are well aware of their responsibilities, which have been clearly outlined in the duty orders. She stressed the importance of timely execution of duties by all assigned officials and staff.
Notably DEO Jadhav also conducted a sequential review with officials and staff responsible for various arrangements, including the help desk, medical team, personnel section, materials section, EVM-VVPAT section, vehicle section, election section, banners and signage, drinking water and sanitation, and control room. She inquired about the current state of preparations and future plans from each section.
The meeting was attended by personnel from various sections, including Shalini Khalkho from the personnel section, Civil Surgeon Dr. Dinesh Kumar from the medical section, Shweta Gudiya from the materials section, Md. Safiq Alam from the EVM section, Pratibha Kujur/Pankaj Dubey from the election section, and Saket Kumar Pandey with Avinash Kumar Singh from the media section.
