Kolar police station arrested 3 smart mobile phone snatchers including a minor boy and recovered ascooter used in the crime, a stolen Apache motorcycle and Rs. 1000 cash from the accused.
Police said that on November 24 staff received information that three boys matching the description of the Axis scooter used in which the mobile was being snatched, have gone towards D Mart Kalari Gehunkheda.
On receiving the information, a police team was immediately dispatched. When the police team reached near D Mart Kalari, three boys were spotted lurking suspiciously on a white Axis scooter on Gehukheda Road. They were chased and nabbed.
When they were questioned about the vehicle, one of them said that he had borrowed the Axis scooter from his neighbor to get his mother treated and tried to misled.
Later the three confessed crime of snatching. The three were identified as Sheikh Arbaaz, Sheikh Tofik alias Guddu father Sheikh Shafiq and one was found be a minor boy.
Accused revealed that on November 10 at 9.30 in the evening they snatched a mobile phone from a person walking on Mansarovar Dental College Road and apart from this they snatched a Nothing company phone from a person walking on the road near the canal in front of Chuna Bhatti's big bungalow who was talking on mobile and sold both the mobiles to Safdar Irani alias Shahrukh in Irani Dera Aman Colony Karod Bhopal for Rs. 2,000 each and divided the money equally among them.
