The Territorial Army, known as the citizens' army, marks its Platinum Jubilee this year, celebrating 75 years of service to the nation. As part of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations, the Territorial Army has joined forces with the CyberPeace Foundation, a leading nonprofit organization, to launch Terrier Cyber Quest 2024, a national cyber challenge aimed at fostering innovation in emerging technologies and cybersecurity. The competition seeks to engage the brightest minds across the country in shaping the future of India’s cyber ecosystem.
Terrier Cyber Quest 2024 features three dynamic tracks designed to push the boundaries of technology, innovation, and cybersecurity:
Track 1: AeroQuest – A thrilling drone race where participants will test their aerial surveillance and tactical maneuvering skills.
Track 2: Capture the Flag (CTF) – A cybersecurity challenge where participants will race against the clock to solve realistic cybersecurity problems.
Track 3: DataThon – A data-driven challenge focused on developing solutions to detect and mitigate deepfakes, with significant implications for cybersecurity and public safety.
The Event will be launched on 10th September 2024 (Online at www.cyberchallenge.in), while the Registration Closure will be on 20th September 2024 (Online). The Announcement of Finalists will be on 25th September 2024 (Online), Final Round: 2nd - 4th October 2024 (USI, New Delhi) and the Prize Ceremony: 5th October 2024 (USI, New Delhi). Some of the major event attractions include Medallions and Certificates awarded by the Territorial Army, Attractive prizes for the winners, Boarding and lodging provided for finalists, opportunity to contribute to the Territorial Army Innovation Cell (TAIC). Also, winners of each track will be honoured separately by the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Indian Army.
This initiative encourages participation from Industry, Academia, Civil Societies, Government, Individuals, and Students. Terrier Cyber Quest 2024 aims to ignite innovation and secure the future of India’s cybersecurity landscape, particularly in the era of emerging technologies like AI, drones, and deepfakes.
