Low pressure has formed in the Bay of Bengal. Its effect will also be seen in Jharkhand. Meteorologist Abhishek Anand has said that the minimum temperature is likely to drop by 2 to 3 degrees centigrade from December 21.
Earlier, the Meteorological Department said that dense fog can be seen in some parts of the state such as Ranchi, Gumla, Hazaribagh, Khunti, Ramgarh and southern parts such as East Singhbhum, West Singhbhum, Simdega, Saraikela Kharsawan. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for dense fog.
Talking about the temperature of the last 24 hours, the minimum temperature of Ranchi was recorded at 6.2 degrees centigrade. At the same time, the highest temperature was recorded in Saraikela of Seraikela-Kharsawan district. The highest mercury here was recorded at 28.6 degrees Celsius.
Moderate fog or mist prevailed in Ranchi on Saturday morning. After this, there will be partly cloudy sky. The maximum temperature is expected to drop to 24 degrees centigrade, while the minimum temperature may remain 12 degrees Celsius.
