To lure the voters in the upcoming assembly elections, candidates have started distributing dhoti, saree and watches.
In this episode, on Monday at around 8 pm, Ranka Circle Officer Shiv Pujan Tiwari, Police Station Incharge Praveen Kumar recovered 80 pieces of wall clock and two bikes (CG 30 P 9548, JH 03 Y 1466) from Timan Bazaar of the police station area. The watch has the picture of Chief Minister Hemant Soren, Drinking Water and Sanitation Minister Mithilesh Kumar Thakur and the election symbol of JMM.
After the recovery of the watch, Circle Officer Shiv Pujan Tiwari has registered a case of violation of the Model Code of Conduct against Ayub Ansari, resident of Jogikhura, Tauhid Ansari, and Salamuddin Ansari, both residents of Mungdah village under Ranka police station area.
Police Station Incharge Praveen Kumar said that he had received secret information that the workers of Minister Mithilesh Thakur were distributing watches at 10 pm in Timan Bazaar.On the basis of information, Circle Officer Shiv Pujan Tiwari, Police Station Incharge along with police force raided at Timan Bazaar and found that, 25-25 each rural men and women are standing in a line. And watches are being distributed.
On seeing the police, the people who were distributing the watches managed to run through the bike.
The police station in-charge said that the election symbol of JMM along with Chief Minister Hemant Soren, Drinking Water and Sanitation Minister Mithilesh Kumar Thakur is inscribed on the watch and adding watches and two bikes have been seized and brought to the police station.
Before this on Saturday police had recovered 95 T-shirts from the house of JMM leader Kamlesh Yadav, a resident of Chete village and 101 wall clocks from the house of Thuran Yadav, a resident of Pundag village.
