In alignment with the Vigilance Awareness Week 2024, the Vigilance Department, Ranchi-based Units of Steel Authority of India Ltd. (SAIL) organized a Vendors' Meet, engaging contractors and vendors associated with various projects and contracts. This interactive event aimed to reinforce the values of transparency, accountability, and ethical practices in procurement and contract management.
The Chief Guest for the Vendors' Meet P C Mishra, CGM (F&A), RBU, SAIL highlighted SAIL’s commitment to fostering a culture of vigilance and fair practices. Vishal Sinha, GM (Vigilance) & ACVO, RBU, SAIL emphasized the importance of adhering to compliance standards, ethical procurement processes, and maintaining open channels of communication to address issues related to procurement integrity. The entire meet was facilitated by the Nodal Officer for the event Prashant Kumar, GM (Contract Cell), RDCIS, SAIL.
During the event, SAIL officials from Materials Management, Contract Cell and Finance discussed recent updates in procurement guidelines, clarified regulatory aspects, and encouraged vendors to participate in initiatives that support transparent processes. Attendees were shown measures designed to streamline processes, reduce procedural complexities, and enhance efficiency in their collaborations with SAIL.
The meet provided a platform for vendors to voice their suggestions and seek clarifications directly, fostering mutual understanding and partnership growth.
