UCMAS, the world’s largest abacus based brain development program, will conduct its 13th Jharkhand State Level Abacus and Mental Arithmetic Competition in Ranchi on 14th April 2024. The competition is being conducted at Mangalam Banquet, Cheshire Home Road, Rani Bagan, Bariatu, Ranchi. More than 400 children from various centers of UCMAS Jharkhand will participate in the event.
The competition will be conducted in 9 levels where 200 questions of Arithmetic will be solved by children in mere 8 minutes to complete the paper. This means a child had roughly 2.4 sec for a question. It is a miracle to watch these children perform.
Award ceremony will be held in the evening in which, Devesh Kumar and Mehar Gupta, educationists from the states of Uttar Pradesh and Telangana respectively will grace the event as Guests of Honour, other dignitaries from schools and social sphere will also be present to encourage the students.
UCMAS conducts a 3 year course for children in the age group of 5 to 13 to sharpen their cognitive skills. This results in strengthening of cognitive abilities of a child like concentration, observation, memory and judgment skills, giving children greater speed to process the questions mentally.
UCMAS today has more than 6.5 lakh children with close to 5500 centers across the world and 80 countries globally. The UCMAS Centres are now present in Upper Bazaar, Kanke, Ratu Road, Morabadi, Hehal, Bariatu, Kathalmore, Lohardaga, Ramgarh & many more are in the pipeline.
