Yogi to inaugurate Akanksha Haat

Thursday, 07 November 2024 | PNS | Lucknow

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Uttar Pradesh government is actively promoting women’s economic empowerment and self-reliance. In line with this mission, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will inaugurate Akanksha Haat 2024 at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan here on November 9.

This initiative aims to empower women entrepreneurs and self-help groups (SHGs) by providing them with a platform to showcase their products and talents.

Akanksha Samiti, an organisation driven by the IAS Officers’ Wives Association (IASOWA) of Uttar Pradesh, is dedicated to the welfare and economic empowerment of women across the state’s 75 districts.

Through Akanksha Haat 2024, the committee seeks to create economic opportunities for women-led SHGs, allowing them to present their skills, crafts, and products, ultimately strengthening their families and communities economically.

Akanksha Haat 2024 is being organised to promote local industries and empower women entrepreneurs. Each district will have its stall, allowing women entrepreneurs from across Uttar Pradesh to showcase unique regional products and crafts.

Under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s leadership, the state government is committed to expanding economic opportunities for women, enabling them to become financially independent and establish a strong societal identity.

As part of the ‘Twin State Initiative’, women entrepreneurs and self-help groups from Jammu and Kashmir have also been invited to participate in Aakanksha Haat 2024. This initiative aims to foster cultural and economic exchange, giving women entrepreneurs from both states the chance to gain new skills, share ideas, and broaden their business reach.
