The Fisheries Department of Jharkhand Government has set a target of 3.73 lakh metric tonnes of fish production in the financial year 2024-25.
The review meeting was held on Monday under the chairmanship of Director (Fisheries) Dr. HN Dwivedi at Matsya Kisan Prashikshan Kendra, Shalimar, Dhurva located in HEC campus. District fisheries officers of all districts participated in the meeting.
The target of fish production in the financial year 2024-25 has been set by the department at 3.73 lakh metric tonnes. Against this, 2.10 lakh metric tonnes of fish has been produced so far. As per the target set for fisheries production, the department is 1.63 lakh metric tonnes behind the target. Dr. Dwivedi directed the fisheries officers of all the districts to complete it as soon as possible. Also, instructions were given to increase the percentage of expenditure for the implementation of departmental schemes.
The Director directed all the officials to speed up the implementation of the schemes of the Fisheries Department of Jharkhand Government including the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana and to achieve the set targets.
On this occasion, Deputy Director of the Department Manoj Kumar Thakur, Deputy Director Shambhu Prasad Yadav, Deputy Director Amarendra Kumar, Deputy Director Maryam Murmu, Deputy Director Ravi Ranjan, Deputy Director Sanjay Gupta, Ranchi District Fisheries Officer Jayant Ranjan, Ramgarh District Fisheries Officer Arup Chaudhary and Fisheries Officers of other districts were present.
