Union Agriculture and Rural Development Minister and BJP's Jharkhand in-charge for the assembly elections Shivraj Singh Chouhan suddenly reached Dhanbad on Monday morning and participated in a meeting with top Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leaders of Jharkhand and Bihar holding close door meeting here.
This program decided late on Sunday night, the Union Minister reached Barwada Airport by helicopter at 8:15 am and was welcomed by Dhanbad MP Dhullu Mahato, MLA Raj Sinha and other party leaders.
At the airport itself, the Union Minister directed the BJP leaders to strengthen the organization and shun factionalism in view of the forthcoming assembly elections in Jharkhand. He asked to resolve all disputes in the party district and rural committees, directed ministers to party leaders now engaged in factional wrangaling since the Lok Sabha election.
The union agricultural minister went straight from the airport to the residence of RSS Dhanbad Mahanagar Prabandhak Pramukh Gopi Katesaria. The Union Minister held a meeting with the leaders associated with the Sangh for more than two hours. While meeting the Sangh leaders, no BJP leader was allowed to participate in the meeting or to accompany the minister. The BJP leaders kept waiting around the airport till the minister reached the airport for his return journey.
Earlier it was informed that Shivraj Singh Chauhan will go to Shankardih of East Tundi block to attend the Sangh meeting. However, the Minister did not go to Shankardih in Tundi. Several leaders including BJP's Mahanagar District President Shravan Rai, Sanjeev Agarwal, Ragini Singh besides others greeted the minister on his arrival at the airport.
