Kicking off the Diwali festivities, the Scope Global Skills University in the state capital has unveiled plans for a two-day event, which will include exhibitions, an army weapons show, open mic sessions, a fashion show, an army band, and live workshops.
The festival, which commences on Saturday, is being organised to promote a synthesis of modern skills and Indian traditions and culture. The event—Diwali Skills Fair—is being organised by the Department of Humanities and Liberal Arts at the university.University registrar Sitesh Sinha said that the event aims to creatively celebrate skills during Diwali while promoting skill development. Visitors can look forward to cultural activities, live demonstration workshops, a food zone, and exhibitions. Art and Craft Exhibitions will showcase products, including artworks and crafts by various artists.
Live workshops, ranging from nail art to science magic, will help learners of all ages, as participants will have the opportunity to learn skills such as zari zardozi, nail art, pottery, diya making, Madhubani art, and others.
