Deputy Chief Minister and Health Minister, Rajendra Shukla distributed awards to the representatives and office bearers working in the field of education, health services, real estate and industrial units on Tuesday at Radisson Hotel.
This programme was organised by the F.M. 94.3 radio channel, affiliated to Dainik Bhaskar group. Sewa Sadan Eye Hospital was honored with a citation for its excellent work in the field of prevention of controllable blindness and eye care services. This citation was given to Managing Trustee AC Sadhwani, Medical Director Dr. Prerna Upadhyay, Trustee Suresh Awatramani and Senior Manager Kushal Dharmani.
Sant Siddh Bhau expressed happiness on receiving this prestigious award for the excellent eye care services of Sewa Sadan Eye Hospital.On this occasion, Shri Sadhwani told that Sewa Sadan Eye Hospital will shortly be shifted in a new spacious and well-equipped building at Asaram Bapu Chauraha, Airport Road, Gandhi Nagar. Once the facility becomes available, there will be an opportunity to serve more number of eye patients.
Sadhwani told that in Central India Region, since its inception, more than 3 lakh 40 thousand operations for cataract and other eye diseases have been performed and over 34 lakh out eye patients have been examined and treated in the hospital. These include free surgeries of 2.25 lakh poor eye patients. In the last 28 years, the hospital has succeeded in restoring vision to 2,136 visually impaired people by performing their eye transplantation.
