Sale of Rice from various Depots of FCI through e-auction

Food Corporation of India releases wheat and rice from stocks available in excess of the buffer stocking norms through Open Market Sale Scheme [OMSS(D)] at predetermined prices from time to time to enhance the supply of wheat and rice especially during the lean season to moderate the open market prices. Accordingly, the Government of India through FCI has decided to offer Rice from Central Pool Stock to private traders/ bulk buyers/ manufacturers of Rice products through e-auction to bring down the increasing prices of wheat.

 

Rice buyers such as manufacturers of Rice products/ Rice processors may bid for minimum quantity of 01 MT and maximum quantity of 2000 MT.

 

FCI, Jharkhand Region has begun the Sale of Rice under OMSS(D) to its empanelled (registered) buyers with effect from 02.08.2024 through e-auction. E-Auction will be conducted on every Wednesday. FCI, Jharkhand Region would be inviting bids from empaneled buyers for Sale of Rice under OMSS(D) lying at various Depots of FCI, Jharkhand Region on “AS IS WHERE IS BASIS”. In the next e-auction (14.08.2024)  tenders have been invited for sale of 5300 MT Rice (FRK Rice- 5000 MT & Non FRK Rice – 300 MT) from 07 depots across the Jharkhand Region. The empaneled buyers may participate in the tender through e-auction by using login ID and Password provided to them by M/s MJunction Services Ltd.

 

The base price for rice is Rs. 2800/- per quintal and fortification cost (Rs. 73/- per quintal), rail freight and road transportation will also be applied above base price.
