Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) President Jitu Patwari has given a stern warning to Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan regarding the purchase of soybean crop at the increased support price.
He has said that until the right price is not given for the soybean crop, he will not let Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan sleep in peace.
Patwari has demanded that the price of soybean be made Rs 6,000 per quintal, if this is not done, he has also put forward the outline of the movement in front of the farmers. He has said that the farmers' movement will start from Mandsaur on September 10. After this, there will be a farmers' movement in Hoshangabad on September 13 and in Agar Malwa on September 15.
Farmers are also being continuously appealed through Congress leaders to join this movement. The PCC Chief said that this is not only a farmers' movement but a movement for the future of farmers.
He announced that on September 20, a movement will be organized in entire Madhya Pradesh to get a fair price for soybean. Patwari said, "Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan advocates for the purchase of soybean crop in Maharashtra at the support price, because there are elections there, but in Madhya Pradesh he is not ready to buy soybean at the support price."He said, "In such a situation, the future of farmers is being ruined due to the dual policy of the state and central government.
Why discrimination between Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh?"Congress state president Jitu Patwari has said that "Shivraj Singh Chauhan, as the Chief Minister for 20 years, has given statements many times about doubling the income of farmers. Now he is the Agriculture Minister of the country."
Jitu Patwari said, "Even now Shivraj Singh is claiming to double the income of farmers, but farmers are not getting the right price for their crops." He said that "Until the farmers get the right price for their crops, Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan will not be allowed to sleep peacefully."BJP has retaliated to this ultimatum of Jitu Patwari. According to BJP's state media in-charge Ashish Agarwal, "Congress should take out a forgiveness march among the farmers." He said, "Congress has ruled the country for 50 years. During this time, they did injustice to the farmers."
BJP leader Ashish Agarwal said, "Whenever the Congress government has come, they have only cheated the farmers. In the 15-month Kamal Nath government, farmers were cheated in the loan waiver." Accusing the Congress, Ashish Agarwal said, "When the UPA government came to power, they hid the report of the Swaminathan Commission on the matter of MSP." Ashish Agarwal said, "After this, when Digvijay Singh's government came, they opened fire on the farmers in Multai. BJP said that Congress has no need to worry about the farmers. BJP knows how to protect the interests of farmers."
