Bokaro, December 22, 2024: The Director (Personnel) of Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), K.K. Singh, concluded a two-day visit to Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) . During the visit, several key initiatives were launched, and stakeholder engagements helped chart a progressive path for the organization.
The visit, spanning December 20-21, 2024, began with the launch and successful "Go-live" of the Human Capital Management (HCM) system at BSL. Following this, discussions were held with representatives of various trade unions and stakeholders to deliberate on collaborative strategies.
On the second day, December 21, the day started with sapling plantation at JNB Park alongside BSL’s Director In-Charge, B.K. Tiwari. This was followed by a visit to Jagannath Temple for prayers.
At the Bokaro Nivas Lawn area, the integrated registration for the Bokaro Half Marathon 2025 was inaugurated, promoting health, fitness, and community participation. Visits to key production units, including the Coke Ovens, SMS-New, Hot Strip Mill, and Cold Rolling Mill-3, were conducted to review their operations and performance.
Reinforcing the commitment to workplace safety, the Safety Training Model Equipment Area at the Pragyan Kendra CCBC in Sector 9 was inaugurated.
Later in the day, detailed discussions with senior officials of the BSL Human Resources department focused on aligning HR policies with the organization's long-term goals. The meeting included BSL’s Director In-Charge, Executive Directors, Chief General Managers, and other senior officers.
Throughout the visit, a strong emphasis was placed on SAIL's dedication to innovation, employee welfare, and excellence in HR management. The engagements and initiatives highlighted the organization's commitment to fostering growth and sustainability.
