Acting on the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Ananya Mittal, a monthly review meeting of the Revenue Department was held at the Collectorate Auditorium in Jamshedpur. Chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Bhagirath Prasad, the meeting focused on evaluating the progress in key areas such as land mutation, succession mutation, land demarcation, online rent collection, and government programs like "Government at Your Door."
LRD C Dhalbhum Gautam Kumar, Sub-Registrar of Jamshedpur and Ghatshila, along with Circle Officers (COs), Circle Inspectors (CIs), and Halka employees attended the meeting. However, LRDC Ghatshila faced scrutiny for being absent without prior notice and was issued a show-cause notice.
ADC Bhagirath Prasad emphasized timely resolution of pending mutation cases, particularly those exceeding 90 days. He instructed that rejection reasons be explicitly stated in such cases. COs were also directed to enhance revenue collection compared to last year and improve service delivery systems to benefit the public effectively.
To streamline succession mutation processes, all zone offices and tehsil courts were instructed to prominently display the list of required documents to prevent repeated visits by applicants.
The district's overall achievement in online rent collection stood at 62%. However, several employees from Potka, Dumariya, Bodam, and Patamda zones, who achieved less than 30%, were issued show-cause notices for their underperformance. These employees were urged to step up efforts to meet revenue collection targets.
The meeting also reviewed pending land transfer requisitions. A total of 12 cases, including land for the construction of a Kendriya Vidyalaya, divisional police station, an urban community center, and other essential public infrastructure, were discussed. Relevant COs were instructed to expedite these cases to facilitate development projects.
The ADC concluded the meeting by urging all officers to ensure weekly reviews of pending applications and adhere to deadlines to enhance the efficiency of the Revenue Department.
