Redefine boundaries of police stations by January 15: CM

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav while reviewing the law and order situation of Jabalpur division today, asked the authorities concerned to complete the process of redefining jurisdictions of police stations by January 15. For this, the claims and objections will be addressed after preliminary determination of boundaries of the police stations after discussion in the meeting of people's representatives at the SDM level.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was reviewing law and order situation of Jabalpur divisions. Dr. Yadav said that strict action should be taken against habitual miscreants so that the message reaches far and wide that those involved in criminal activities will not be spared.

The Chief Minister said that habitual criminals should be strictly dealt with. He said that there should be a ban on the open sale of meat and fish. A market with shed should be built where space should be provided to vendors.

The Chief Minister said that the district jail and the police force should jointly make a plan considering prisoners on human ground when they have completed their sentence in jails. He gave instructions to build open jails in the districts.

The Chief Minister said that there should be a police band in every district, so that the official band could be played at national festivals. A police band team should be formed by training the soldiers of SAF companies and new recruits in the police force.

Regarding the learning classes started by the police in the districts earlier, the Chief Minister directed that in this way, those doing good work in improving service and enhancing reputation will be honoured.

Regarding recent promotions in the police department, the Chief Minister said that the eligible and deserving promoted police personnel who could not get promotion will also be promoted.

The Chief Minister said that loudspeakers should be played only within the prescribed limit. He gave instructions to strictly ban equipments making loud noises including DJs.

Apart from this, Collectors and SPs should stake action on loudspeakers being played violating prescribed laws. There is a provision for temporary permission for various events. Collectors should keep vigil on this.

Earlier, regarding the law and order action taken in Jabalpur and Balaghat range, it was informed that the bail of 218 people including Jabalpur and Balaghat range has been cancelled. Also 2773 speakers have been removed. C.M. Dr. Yadav gave instructions to ensure that the speakers are played only within prescribed lmit.

Those present included Panchayat and Rural Development and Labor Minister Prahlad Patel, Public Works Minister Rakesh Singh, Transport and School Education Minister Rao Uday Pratap Singh, Public Health Engineering Minister Sampatia Uike, Khajuraho MP BD Sharma, Division MPs and MLAs of all the districts, Mayor, Chief Secretary Veera Rana, Additional Chief Secretary in-charge of Jabalpur division Vinod Kumar and ADGP Chanchal Shekhar, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Raghavendra Singh and Commissioner Public Relations Sandeep Yadav.
