Severe waterlogging and uprooting of trees were witnessed in the national Capital after rainfall lashed various parts of Delhi on Monday causing traffic congestion and irking commuters.

Albeit residents of Delhi waking up to a pleasant morning, office goers and commuters witnessed heavy waterlogging at arterial roads of the city causing traffic jams. Areas including Dhaula Kuan, Moti Bagh, Mundka, Mehrauli-Badarpur road, Sainik Farm, Lajpat Nagar, Karol Bagh, Punjabi Bagh, Khanpur, ITO and Okhla Estate among others were flooded after the showers causing slow traffic movement.

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi received a total of 11 calls regarding waterlogging and tree falling in the city.
