Various political and social organisations along with citizens are making preparations to celebrate the consecration of Ram temple in Ayodhya on January 22 with different events in Nainital. Former councilor and social worker Bhupal Singh Karki is also busy lending final touches to preparations for the programme to be held to mark the occasion. Karki operates the canteen at the Nainital zoo. He said that on January 22 that a religious programme will be organised at the Gangnath Devta temple situated on the hill on which the zoo is situated. An Akhand Path will be held in the temple while Prasad will be distributed to all the people who visit the zoo on the occasion. He said that he will be organizing this programme to honour the wish of his deceased father. The temple of Gangnath Devta will be decorated as on Diwali. The screening of live telecast of the ceremony in Ayodhya is also being considered, he added.
