The mood and decision of the young voters will be decisive in all the 90 Vidhan Sabha Seats of the Haryana Assembly Elections that go for poll on October 1. Of the 2.02 crore Electors eligible to exercise their franchise in the State Assembly elections, about 46.86 lakh are young voters and of them, about 5.01 lakh are in the age group of 18-19, according to the State Electoral rolls.

In such a situation, all major political parties, including the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Indian National Congress (INC), Jannayak Janata Party (JJP), Indian National Lok Dal (INLD), Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and others have intensified efforts to bring young voters into their fold.

Besides door-to-door campaigns and activity on social media, the focus of the political parties is on issues concerning youngsters, especially those in the 20-29 age group. The number of young voters aged 20 to 29 years is about 41.86 lakhs in the State. The Political Parties in the State have made a strategy to include youth in the election campaign too.

Talking to ‘The Pioneer’ Sumit Arora, leader, Youth Wing of BJP said, “We are focusing on work done by State and Central Governments for the youths.” He further said that youths of the State have supported the Central Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the previous Lok Sabha elections and the BJP-led State Government in the last two Vidhan Sabha elections. They would again vote for their favorite leader this time too. The youth of Haryana will once again support BJP and PM Modi in the upcoming Assembly Election.
