The TT Nagar police made the victim of robbery and assault wait for 7 hours to register a complaint; the victim was assaulted and his gold chain was snacthed when he had gone to attend a birthday party in New Market area late in the night on November 18.
The victim alleged that the police kept him waiting in the police station for 7 hours and did not even register an FIR. The incident has also been captured on CCTV cameras.
On the other hand, the police are calling the case a personal dispute. An NCR has been registered at the TT Nagar police station.
Shrikant Dubey who lives in Shweta Complex in the city, operates a hotel named Shyam Paradise in front of Bansal Hospital.
He said that the incident took place on November 18 at 1.30 am. He had gone to the Dream Land Club of Gammon India Mall in New Market. His friend Satya Vijay Chauhan had organized his birthday party. The car was parked at the petrol pump in front of the mall.
The incident has been captured on the CCTV camera installed at the spot.
He left to return home after the party at around 3 am. When he reached near the car, he found Krishna Sahu, Shubham Kamle resident of Bhim Nagar and Shiva resident in front of the old jail. The accused started demanding money for liquor and when he refused they assaulted and snatched a gold chain and Rs 3260 cash.
As it was late at night, he went home. Next day on November 19, he went to the police station to lodge a complaint. The incident was written in NCR according to their own understanding.
According to the NCR of the police, the dispute happened after eating food in the hotel over paying the bill of Rs 2800 rupees. The complainant described the accused as acquaintances. It is written in it that the chain fell and was later found at the spot.
The victim has complained about the behavior of the police after the incident in the Police Commissioner's Office on Wednesday afternoon. After taking the application, an investigation has been assured. He wants action against the accused. TT Nagar police are not ready to listen to him.
The police station in-charge of TT Nagar says that there was scuffle between both the parties. Both the parties are friends, they drank alcohol together in the hotel, the entire dispute happened under the influence of alcohol. The matter is being investigated. Action will be taken after the investigation. A criminal case has already been registered against the complainant in Shahpura police station.
