Oxford University Press India, a department of the University of Oxford, in collaboration with Bhopal Sahodaya Complex, organised a professional development program for the foundational and preparatory level teachers of Bhopal and neighbouring districts.  The workshop-themed "Engage, Explore, Empower" aimed at empowering early-stage teachers to create dynamic, student-centered learning environments that support holistic development, foster exploration and inquiry, and set the foundation for future success in the 21st century.

The workshop was conducted by Dr. Gurjit Kaur Bhatia, an academic advisor, and professional trainer, Ms. Shilpi Bhattacharya, Sr. Manager - Professional Development, OUP, and chaired by Rev. Father Sebi Edattukaran CMI, President, Bhopal Sahodaya Complex. The training program was designed per the National Education Policy (NEP 2020) goals and the National Curriculum Framework (NCF 2023) for early education, to enable teachers to adapt and customize teaching processes, considering the children's age, interests, and learning abilities. It included interactive sessions, hands-on activities, and collaborative discussions with foundational and preparatory stage teachers.

Participating educators appreciated the workshop for the engaging and activity-based teaching approaches and the valuable insights they gained to implement NEP 2020 and NCF 2023 in their classrooms, setting students up for success.
