Our home is the first school of cleanliness: Governor

Governor Mangubhai Patel has said that cleanliness begins at home. The first school of cleanliness is our home. Therefore, imparting the values ??of cleanliness to children has to start from our home itself. Learning from Mahatma Gandhi we must include cleanliness in our daily routine. Governor Patel was addressing the “Swachhta Hi Seva” fortnight program organized at Kushabhau Thackeray Auditorium.

The Swachhta Hi Seva Fortnight 2024 and Pradhan Mantri Bharatiya Jan Aushadhi Kendras were launched in 50 district hospitals in a program organized at Kushabhau Thakre Auditorium with Governor Patel as chief guest Chief Minister Mohan Yadav presided over.

The Governor and the Chief Minister inaugurated the exhibition on the awards received by Madhya Pradesh in the field of cleanliness. Governor Patel and Chief Minister Dr. Yadav launched a film on ‘Swachhta Hi Seva’ campaign in Madhya Pradesh. A short film of the Central Government on the outline of the Swachhta Hi Seva Campaign was screened. A short film based on the ‘Pradhan Mantri Bharatiya Jan Aushadhi Kendras’ being started in the district hospitals was also screened. Placards were presented to Patel and Chief Minister Dr. Yadav by the Indian Red Cross Society.

The Governor and the Chief Minister honored the Safai Mitras and distributed incentive amount and cleanliness kits. Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla, Urban Development and Housing Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya, and State President and MP V.D. Sharma were present.

Patel congratulated Indore City for leading in cleanliness for 7 consecutive years. He praised the tireless and continuous hard work of the sanitation workers of Indore for this achievement. The Governor congratulated the people of Indore for their habits of cleanliness and enthusiastic participation in cleanliness-related activities.

Patel said that Jan Aushadhi Kendra is a special initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the poor. On the occasion of the birthday of Prime Minister Modi, he congratulated the people of the state on the inauguration of Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Kendras in all 50 district hospitals of the state. Patel said that due to minimum prices and quality medicines, these Kendras will benefit the poor. Governor Patel appealed to people to make people aware of generic, affordable medicines and financial savings available at Jan Aushadhi Kendra to the poor and needy around them. He also asked the doctors to inform the patients about the facilities and benefits of Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Kendras while treating them.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav has said that providing facilities to make the lives of people easier is the most memorable gift to Prime Minister Modi. Launching the Pradhan Mantri Bharatiya Jan Aushadhi Kendra and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in 50 hospitals on his birthday will improve the standard of living of the common man. The state government is also committed to the welfare of Safai Mitras. The work being done for the common man is a birthday gift for Prime Minister Modi.

Chief Minister Yadav also announced to provide funds to the Safai Mitras working in the urban bodies as an incentive for their contribution. In the Swachhta Survekshan-2024, funds will be provided to Safai Mitras based on garbage-free city-star certification to the urban bodies. An amount of Rs. 1,000 per star in their ranking will be given to all Safai Mitras working in the urban body, that is, Rs. 1,000 will be given to all Safai Mitras of the urban body with one star. Municipal bodies can get a ranking of up to seven stars.
