A comprehensive review meeting on the preparations for the counting of votes was convened under the chairmanship of District Election Officer Ananya Mittal in the Collectorate Auditorium, Jamshedpur. The meeting focused on critical arrangements necessary for the smooth conduct of the vote counting process.
Discussions covered various logistical aspects, including the seating arrangements for candidates and their representatives within the college campus, vehicle parking facilities, the issuance of identity cards for counting agents, cleanliness of the premises, provision of drinking water, and the setup of mobile toilets. Additional focus areas included the installation of CCTV cameras in the counting center, videography of the counting process, ensuring internet connectivity, the miking system, establishment of a control room, and the creation of a media center.
Mittal emphasized the importance of maintaining order at the counting venue. He outlined that alongside the deputation of table-wise counting personnel, an assembly-wise reserve counting party would be available to prevent any disruptions due to the potential illness or other issues affecting personnel during the vote count. He directed all Assistant Returning Officers (AROs) and in-charge officers to ensure that all preparations related to the counting are completed promptly and effectively. Mittal also stressed the need for each officer to thoroughly study their respective roles and responsibilities to ensure a seamless counting process.
The vote counting is scheduled to commence at 8 am, starting with the counting of postal ballots, followed by the counting of votes recorded in Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs).

The meeting concluded with a reaffirmation of the commitment to conduct the vote counting process efficiently and transparently, ensuring that all necessary measures are in place for a smooth electoral procedure.
