On the second day of the nomination process for the Assembly Elections 2024, no candidates officially filed their nomination papers. However, the day witnessed an increase in the number of nomination forms purchased by prospective candidates from various constituencies.
According to election officials, one nomination form was purchased from 44-Baharagora, one from 45-Ghatshila, seven from 46-Potka, two from 47-Jugsalai, seven from 48-Jamshedpur East, and six from 49-Jamshedpur West. The growing interest in these constituencies suggests that more nominations are expected in the coming days.
As the deadline for filing nominations approaches, political parties and independent candidates are preparing to submit their papers, making the upcoming elections highly competitive. Election authorities remain on standby, ensuring that the process continues smoothly.
