Senior Congress leader Dr. Ajoy Kumar, in a press statement on Sunday, expressed his gratitude and unwavering support for Congress workers, acknowledging their dedication and hard work during the recent assembly elections. Addressing reports regarding his electoral defeat, Dr. Kumar stated that he does not agree with the conclusions drawn in review reports published by local newspapers. He emphasized that election results, whether a win or loss, are part of the democratic process and do not diminish the efforts of his team.
“I have no complaints against my workers,” said Dr. Kumar. “Their hard work and dedication during the elections have been commendable. My workers are my pride, and I refuse to accept any compromise with their dignity. They were important to me yesterday, and they remain equally dear to me today.”
Dr. Kumar highlighted the pivotal role played by his team in enabling him to contest the elections with courage. “We fought bravely without hesitation, and around 65,000 people of Jamshedpur supported us. This is a significant achievement for me,” he said. Despite the defeat, Dr. Kumar expressed satisfaction in accepting the people's decision, reiterating his respect for the democratic process.
“Jamshedpur is in my heart, and I cannot think of separating from it,” he added, dismissing misconceptions spread by opponents about his commitment to the region.
Dr. Kumar assured the public of his continued availability and efforts to support them. He expressed his intent to remain actively involved in addressing issues faced by the people of Jamshedpur. “I am always among my people and help them to the best of my abilities,” he said.
Looking to the future, Dr. Kumar announced plans to organize a meeting with Congress workers to personally thank them for their contributions during the elections. “As my friends and partners in this journey, I will honor them for their dedication and discuss future strategies in detail,” he shared.
