New Edition of YSS Lessons in Self-realization launched in Hindi on Yoganandaji's Janmotsav

Saturday, 06 January 2024 | PNS | Ranchi

The 131 Avirbhav Divas of Sri Sri Paramahansa Yogananda, author of the best-selling spiritual classic, Autobiography of a Yogi, was celebrated by over 800 people with a special Janmotsav programme at the Noida ashram of Yogoda Satsanga Society of India (YSS), the spintual organization he founded to disseminate his Kriya Yoga teachings to spiritual seekers

The highlight of this Janmotsav celebration was the release of the Hindi translation of the new edition of Yogoda Satsanga Lessons in Self-Realization in the evening programme. Swami Ishwarananda Giri, a senior YSS sannyasi shared the significance of the Kriya Yoga teachings that Yoganandaji brought to the world: "Paramahansa Yogananda often referred to the Kriya Yoga path, with its scientific techniques of meditation, as 'the highway to the Infinite. His teachings are made available through the printed YSS Lessons - a transmission of sacred knowledge that will uplift and transform all aspects of your life: it is a progressive, home-study programme teaching meditation techniques and the essence of spintuality handed down through a renowned lineage of yoga masters-Mahavatar Babaji, Lahiri Mahasaya, Swami Sri Yukteswar, and Paramahansa Yogananda and now available to any truth-seeker who is deeply seeking to understand and personally experience the spiritual truths, long enshrined in our scriptures "On this occasion YSS sannyasi Swami Adyananda read YSS/SRF President Sri Sri Swami Chidananda Giri's letter: "Guruji said, "When I am gone, the teachings will be the guru, and how joyous he must be on this day when through the Hindi translation of the new Lessons his soul-liberating teachings will now flow out to devotees across India in this powerful new presentation that he planned many years ago."

"Despite our varying achievements in life, there often still remains a sense of emptiness or lack of purpose; these Kriya Yoga meditation teachings provide us with the necessary tools to fill the void - to bring out from within ourselves all the peace and joy of the soul," Swami Ishwaranandaji said, inviting newcomers interested in learning the sacred science of Kriya Yoga meditation to apply for YSS Lessons at yssi.org/Lessons-Hindi. With the YSS Lessons now available in Hindi, the soul-liberating Kriya Yoga teachings of Paramahansa Yoganandaji are now accessible to the Hindi-speaking masses of India.

The sacred day was celebrated with a special janmotsav satsanga and group meditation in the evening that drew over 800 devotees and friends. Earlier in the day, Narayana Seva was conducted, in which langar was served to over 1,200 persons.
