Education in India has always been a focal point of human activities. The educational systems prevalent had focused on all round development of students and human values have always been cherished.

Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav expressed these views while addressing the foundation stone laying ceremony of Patanjali Gurukulam and Acharyakulam in Haridwar on Saturday.

Union Minister for Defence Rajnath Singh, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Union Minister Arjun Meghwal, Rajya Sabha MP Shri Sudhanshu Trivedi were present.

The Chief Minister said that the new education policy being implemented under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi lays emphasis on the all-round development of students and establishment of human values.

He said that Madhya Pradesh is known as the centre of learning where Lord Shri Krishna got education. He said that the Sanatan culture underlines the glory of Guru and Gurukul. Lord Shri Ram in and Lord Shri Krishna received their education in Gurukul. Madhya Pradesh is fortunate to have a place where Lord Shri Krishna learnt from his Guru Sandipani.

The Chief Minister said that Yoga Guru Swami Ramdev has done remarkable work of connecting this holy land with education by establishing Patanjali Gurukulam and Acharyakulam in Haridwar.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav extended best wishes to Yoga Guru Swami Ramdev for this project and invited him to establish a Gurukul and Ashram in Ujjain or any other place in Madhya Pradesh.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Swami Vivekananda believed that the 21st century would be the century of India's progress. These signs of progress are already visible. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the country's fame has gone far and wide. Yoga Guru Swami Ramdev Ji Maharaj has re-established faith in India’s basic philosophy and thinking by accentuating India’s culture in the world. He said that the vision of Swami Dayanand Ji and Swami Darshanand Ji Maharaj has guided new education policy.

Dr. Yadav said that through the new education policy, efforts should be made to introduce the new generation to the different stories of Lord Shri Ram and Lord Shri Krishna, to connect them with the culture of the country and to inspire the coming generations to make every possible contribution for safeguarding the humanity.
