School Education Minister Uday Pratap Singh said that as NCC (National Cadets Corps) strengthens the sense of discipline and patriotism among the students its NCC activities will be expanded in the state.
He said that the School Education Department will provide all possible help to the NCC organization administratively and financially. Minister Singh was addressing the NCC State Level Advisory Committee meeting held at Mantralaya in Bhopal today.
Secretary of School Education Sanjay Goyal, Major General Ajay Mahajan, and Additional Director General NCC Brigadier Rajneesh Gaur were also present at the meeting.
Minister Singh said that the cadets of Madhya Pradesh have made the state proud by giving an outstanding performance at the national and state levels. He said that the state government will extend every possible support for the development of the proposed NCC Academy in Madhya Pradesh. Secretary of School Education Sanjay Goyal said that efforts will be speeded up for the construction of the academy building. In the meeting, Major General Ajay Mahajan told that at present there are 77 thousand cadets in the state. The capacity will be increased to 20 thousand 320 cadets in the coming 3 years.
It was informed in the meeting that the state government has allotted 20 acres of land in Samasgarh village of Bhopal for the NCC Academy. The design of the academy building will be prepared by EPCO.
