ISECT, an organization working continuously in the field of skill development and higher education for the last 39 years, in collaboration with Scope Global Skills University and Rabindranath Tagore University, flagged off a nationwide skill development yatra on Wednesday .
The yatra was taken oout with an objective of creating awareness among students about the National Education Policy and career counseling of students. During this, Dr. Siddharth Chaturvedi, Chancellor of Scope Global Skills University was present as the chief guest. Other guests present with him included SGSU Vice Chancellor Ajay Bhushan, Registrar Sitesh Sinha, AGM ISECT Abhishek Gupta, ISECT National Network Manager Rajesh Panda and Shri Rajesh Shukla Zonal Head Madhya Pradesh.
On this occasion, Siddharth Chaturvedi flagged off the yatra. In his statement, he said that this yatra being conducted in 300 districts and 500 schools, colleges and institutes of 22 states of the country will reach a large number of students and will make them aware of the importance of skill development.
Besides, this journey will try to connect them with entrepreneurship, skill development and higher education by making them aware of the innovations being done by AISECT and AISECT University Group. He further said that the subject experts accompanying the journey will also work to provide career guidance to the students by explaining the importance of skill development.
National Network Manager of AISECT, Rajesh Panda, said that for many years, AISECT has been making a unique effort to explain the importance of skill development to the youth through the Skill Development Yatra, which has also been awarded by national and international agencies.
In this journey, branches and students are made aware of AISECT's new activities like banking, Aadhaar, online toll payment (ETC), school content, play school, AISECT Learn, online free courses (MOOCS), insurance, online services, Rojgar Mantra portal, NAPS etc. Starting from September 18, this journey will reach 300 districts of 22 states where students will be made aware of the courses being run in AISECT-NSDC partnership and the courses being run by AISECT University Group.
During the journey, information about schemes being run under skill development such as government schemes, NULM, NSQF and Microsoft Rise, UNICEF course and others will also be provided to the youth. For this, vehicles have been specially designed by AISECT. These travel vehicles have been equipped with branding of various schemes related to skill development.
