National Voters' Day was celebrated at the University Law College, Hazaribag on Thursday. NSS Program Officer Dr. Laxmi Singh emphasized encouraging new voters to register and providing maximum facilities. This day commemorates the establishment of the Election Commission of India on January 25, 1950. Dr. Jaydeep Sanyal urged youth to participate in the electoral process, emphasizing that voting is not only a right but a fundamental one.
Principal Rashmi Pradhan highlighted India's democratic nature, stressing every citizen's right to choose leaders capable of addressing issues and bringing about change. National Voters' Day is crucial for determining the country's future through elected representatives.
Oseta Kirti, an alumna, shared the theme "Nothing Like Voting, I Vote for Sure" dedicated to voter empowerment and expressing individuals' sentiments and aspirations in the electoral process. Member Neha Anjum emphasized the main goal of Voter's Day is to raise awareness for people to register in the voter list. Students Abhishek Basant and Dilkhush shared their thoughts. Thanks and recognition were given by Dr. Urmila Kumar, inspiring students to vote impartially. This year, students actively participated, and the oath to vote was administered.
