Municipal Commissioner Harendra Narayan delivered the keynote address at a two-day conference organised by the London-based World Biogas Association in New Delhi on Wednesday.
In his address at the World Biogas Summit, Narayan spoke of the 400-tonne capacity bio-CNG plant currently under construction in the state capital, and the operation of 250 bio-CNG waste collection vehicles, which are supported by UNIDO. His presentation included the environmental and economic benefits of using bio-CNG.He provided detailed insights into the BMC strategy for regular waste segregation and the transportation of wet waste to processing plants.
