MP to emerge as industrial and agri hub with new roads

Union Minister for Surface Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari has said that road projects will help Madhya Pradesh emerge as an industrial and agricultural hub. New projects are being started for improving the road network in Madhya Pradesh.

Many will be completed by the end of this year. Construction of roads will bring investment and exports will also increase. Employment opportunities will be available and will help eradicating poverty.

Gadkari was addressing the foundation stone laying ceremony for road projects at Lal Parade Ground in Bhopal on Tuesday. Gadkari and Chief Minister Dr. Yadav laid the foundation stone for 15 National Highway road projects measuring 499 km length worth Rs 8038 crore.Union Minister Gadkari said that construction of roads will harness possibilities of development. Malwa flour is liked in many countries. New roads will boost export. Gadkari said that the project of operating ropeway from railway station to Baba Mahakal temple in Ujjain is underway.

Tender for this project worth Rs 171 crore will be clear in the coming month. The distance from Ujjain to Kota can be covered in just two and a half hours. Important works also include four laning of 136 km distance from Ujjain to Garoth. The distance from Indore to Omkareshwar will be covered in one hour. Expansion of roads is an important achievement for MP: CM YadavChief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the road construction works worth Rs. 10,000 crore is an important achievement. Today, 9 road projects have been inaugurated and foundation stone laid in Jabalpur and 15 in Bhopal. The cost of these 24 road projects is more than Rs 10 thousand crores. Along with new works of road construction, Madhya Pradesh is also moving forward in the use of air means of transport and means like cable car, rope-way. Industrial activities will also intensify.

In the last 70 years, 5 thousand kilometers of roads were prepared. But in the last ten years, only 5 thousand kilometers of new roads have been built. Madhya Pradesh has been important for people moving from north to south and east to west. Entire state will benefit from the construction of new highways. The operation of cable car and ropeway from the Big Lake of Bhopal is being considered.

Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, Union Minister Gadkari has emphasized on the use of alternative means of fuel. Now electric vehicles are also running in large numbers. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also appreciated the innovations made by Gadkari. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also highlighted the importance of the National Highway works whose foundation stone was laid today.Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, while addressing virtually, said that today is a historic day for Madhya Pradesh.

The Union Minister has ensured the quality of works. Along with the expansion of roads in Madhya Pradesh is progressing in the irrigation and energy sectors. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, important work has been done in every sector in the last one and a half month. Assembly Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar addressed the program virtually. He said that work is being done to connect all four corners of the country through roads. India will emerge as a developed India by 2047. Public Works Minister Rakesh Singh said in his welcome address said that transportation is becoming easier in Madhya Pradesh. MP Vishnudutt Sharma said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, Union Minister Gadkari ji is playing an important role.
