Chief MinisterMohan Yadav said that an action plan is being formulated to develop medical tourism in the state, focusing on natural and alternative medical methods, similar to Kerala's model. This initiative will also generate new employment opportunities.

The state has approved 46,451 new positions in its health institutions, and 800 Ayush Arogya Mandirs have already begun their operations. The number of Ayurvedic institutions, along with medical and nursing colleges, will further increase across the state. Dr. Yadav emphasized on the goal of establishing a medical or Ayurvedic college in every district, ensuring that citizens do not need to leave the state for treatment.

The state government will collaborate with Arogya Bharti for support and guidance in planning and implementation, aiming to provide better healthcare facilities, encourage healthy lifestyles, and create a disease-free society.

Yadav delivered these remarks virtually at the All India Delegation Conference of Arogya Bharti, held in Gwalior, from Samatva Bhavan in Bhopal. Assembly Speaker Shri Narendra Singh Tomar, officials from Arogya Bharti and representatives from the Union Ayush Ministry were present at the event hosted at Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Agricultural University, Gwalior.

The Chief Minister said that the construction of Government Medical Colleges in Mandsaur, Neemuch, and Seoni has been completed, and these institutions will soon be inaugurated. To improve healthcare services across the state, a decision has been made to merge the Medical Education and Health Department.

Yadav highlighted the widespread use of Ayurvedic methods and Ayush decoction to prevent disease during the Covid period. To further promote the Indian medical system, Ayurveda hospitals will soon be established in five districts: Balaghat, Shahdol, Sagar, Morena, and Narmadapuram.

The state government is also encouraging the establishment of Ayurvedic hospitals by private entities as part of its initiative to support traditional medicine. Additionally, the Devaranya Yojana is being implemented to promote medicinal farming in tribal regions. To raise awareness about medicinal plants and support their marketing, small forest produce fairs are organized annually.

Yadav emphasized that a healthy nation begins with a healthy village, which in turn relies on healthy families and individuals. He expressed his pleasure that Arogya Bharti is not only raising awareness about health but also conducting research-based work to promote well-being in society. In Indian tradition, health is regarded as the greatest wealth, aligning with the belief that a healthy body is the foundation of happiness.

Yadav praised Arogya Bharti for its commendable efforts in inspiring people to lead disease-free lives by adopting healthier lifestyles. He extended his gratitude for the organization's decision to hold its annual conference in Madhya Pradesh and warmly welcomed the representatives.

Yadav also released Arogya Bharti's souvenir "Arogya Phaldayakam" and the organisation's magazine Arogya Sampada's special issue focused on Indian health principles, Arogya Bharti's diary and calendar. Yadav honoured Yogacharya Pandit Damodar Lal Sharma with the "Late Madhavrao Dhakras Swasth Jeevan Shaili" award. Mementoes were presented to the guests. Arogya Bharti's patron Praveen Bhavsar, President Dr. Rakesh Pandit were also present.

Assembly Speaker Shri Tomar said that the coming tomorrow belongs to a healthy, clean and great India. Arogya Bharti is playing an important role in the direction of building a disease-free society by adopting Indian health systems.
