MP is the premier destination for tourism investment: Shukla

An important session on investment opportunities in the tourism sector was organised at the Regional Industry Conclave Rewa. Principal Secretary Tourism and Culture and Managing Director Tourism Board Sheo Shekhar Shukla said that Madhya Pradesh is the best state for investment in the tourism sector. Provisions and facilities like Investors Facilitation Cell, Single Window, Transparent e-Tendering Process, Capital Subsidy up to 30 percent, 90 years lease and one percent lease rent, incentives etc. have developed a favorable eco system for investors to invest in 14 types of tourism projects.

In the session, presentation was given on investment in tourism projects, tourism investment policy, subsidy, incentives and process. Pushpraj Singh, Chairman, H.H.R Group of Hotels Rewa Rajvilas said that one's own heritage property or kothi can be converted into a heritage hotel with the help of the tourism department or one can acquire heritage property through the transparent e-tendering process of the tourism department. In this way, one can earn profit through the tourism department and also strengthen the local economy.

Saleel Dalvi, Owner, Bear Valley Camp said that he came to Madhya Pradesh in the year 2017 and stayed here thereafter. Madhya Pradesh is suitable for adventure activities of land, water and air. Establishment and promotion of bird watching and wellness retreats should be considered in the state.

Naren Kumar, Film Producer and Owner, Kiara Kumar Creations said that filmmaking is a new emerging area of investment and employment in the present times. Madhya Pradesh Tourism can now work with film studios and film institutes to train skilled labour working in films. Aditya Pratap Singh Owner SPS Hotel, Rajan Sharma Managing Director Radisson Rewa also expressed their views in the panel. A Q&A session was also organised for investors and audience.

The session organised on tourism will play a pivotal role in the state and regional development, as it will provide information to investors about new opportunities in the tourism sector and will help in promoting the tourism industries of the state and Vindhya region. On this occasion, Managing Director State Tourism Development Corporation Illairaja T, stakeholders of tourism sector, hotel operators and a large number of participants were present.

During the Regional Industry Conclave, an important session was also organised by the Mineral Resources Department on investment opportunities in the mining and mineral sector. In the session, a presentation was given by Sanjay Kumar Shukla, Principal Secretary, Mineral Resources, on investment opportunities in the mining and mineral sector. He explained in detail the immense possibilities in the mining and mineral sector in the state. Managing Director Anurag Chaudhary gave information about the activities conducted by the department and shared information about the possibilities in the field of ready mix concrete.

Jitendra Malik, Director Technical (Operations), Northern Coalfields Limited, made people aware of the immense possibilities in the field of environment friendly technology in the field of mining.
