Minister of State for Coal and Mines, Satish Chandra Dubey arrived in Ranchi today as part of his three day visit to Jharkhand on Friday.
On his arrival at Ranchi Airport, he was welcomed by CCL CMD Nilendu Kumar Singh, CMD CMPDI Manoj Kumar and officials, which underlines the importance of this visit for the region.
The Minister visited CMPDI and felicitated the winners of Hackathon on "Coal Gasification" organised by CMPDI at CMPDI (HQ), Ranchi on Friday. As per the direction of the Ministry of Coal, CMPDI organised Hackathon on Coal Gasification on 6 problem statements to harness a vital natural resource to meet the energy and chemical needs of the nation, fostering economic independence and environmental sustainability.
Manoj Kumar, CMD, CMPDI; Samiran Dutta, CMD, BCCL; Nilendu Kumar Singh, CMD, CCL; FDs of CMPDI, BCCL and CCL; ED, IICM; GMs/HoDs and other employees were present.
Dubey praised activities of CMPDI and said that CMPDI plays an important role not only in the development of the people but also to take the country forward on the strength of technology. It is working with the concept of ’Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas’.
Dubey, under the ongoing Special campaign 4.0 inaugurated 3 nos. of "Solar trees" installed at CMPDI premises and "Deer structure" made from Scrap under Waste to Wealth (Scrap of Art) theme.
The Minister under the Swachhata Hi Seva felicitated "Safai Karmacharis" and also planted saplings under "Ek Ped Maa ke Naam" initiative.
Further, Dubey also Inaugurated Newly Constructed Badminton Court, Renovated Gymnasium and 4 nos. of High Mast lights at CMPDI Playground, Ranchi. These activities were aligned with the ’Khelo India’ program of Govt of India aimed to revive the sports culture in India and to improve the fitness and health of India.
Thereafter, Dubey chaired a meeting to review the performance of CMPDI. Earlier he also visited the "Earth Science Museum" located at CMPDI.
During his stay, Dubey will participate in several important events aimed at boosting the coal and mining sector in Jharkhand. On the first day, he will hold an important review meeting with the officials of CMPDIL to assess the ongoing projects and future initiatives.
On the second day, the Minister will visit Hindustan Copper Limited at Ghatshila, where he will discuss operational strategies and development plans to boost the mining industry in the region.
An important event will be held on the third day of the visit, where Dubey will lay the foundation stone of Karo Coal Handling Plant and Konar Coal Handling Plant of CCL in Bokaro and Kargali areas. This initiative will contribute to increased coal transportation and overall efficiency of operations in the region. He expressed his commitment to promote growth in the coal and mining sector, which plays a vital role in the economic development of Jharkhand and the nation.
