A minor girl was allegedly raped on gunpoint and thrown from the terrace of a building in Delhi’s Dwarka area.
According to the police on Thursday, the information was received at Police Station Dwarka North that a minor girl jumped from terrace. DCP Dwarka Ankit Singh said, “Police staff reached at hospital where victim was admitted and stated that she was raped and thrown. Then the victim was referred to one stop center, Gynae, Deen Dayal Upadhyay (DDU) Hospital where the victim was medically examined and treated.”
A senior police officer stated that the accused lived in the same building as the victim and while her parents were away on Monday, the boy entered the house and threatened the girl at gun point. Later, he took her to the roof of another building where he allegedly raped her.
He further added that when the girl resisted, he threw her off the terrace. Meanwhile, the girl was allegedly gang raped and had registered the complaint against four people in February. Singh added, “Counseling of victim was done by CIC Counsellor. Statement of victim got recorded wherein she levelled allegations against Yash, alias kala.”
An FIR under section 127(2)(wrongful confinement), 65(1)(punishment of rape on a woman under sixteen years of age) and 109(1) (Attempt to murder) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and sections under POCSO Act has been registered. During the investigation, the crime team and FSL team was called at the place of incident for inspection.
Statement of the victim was recorded under section 183 Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS). “Dedicatedly search of accused is being made and investigation is on,” the DCP said.
