Meet of police, administration officials to maintain peace

In view of maintaining law and order for the citizens during the upcoming Navratri festival, a joint meeting of police and administrative officials was held by Police Commissioner Harinarayanachari Mishra at the Commissioner's Office.

Bhopal Shahar Qazi Syed Mushtaq Ali Nadvi, Additional Police Commissioner Awadhesh Goswami, Deputy Commissioner of Police Riyaz Iqbal, Deputy Commissioner of Police Sanjay Agarwal, Deputy Commissioner of Police Jitendra Pawar, Deputy Commissioner of Police Sanjay Singh and all Deputy Commissioners of Police were present.

The officer bearers of Hindu Utsav Samiti, Durga Utsav Samiti and organizers and patrons of Ram Barat and Dussehra procession and Ravan Dahan, DJ operators, office bearers of the mosque committee which are on the procession route Garba organizers who are important in the procession were participants of the meeting.

Zonal Officers of PWD, MPEB and Municipal Corporation and all Additional Deputy Commissioners of Police, Assistant Commissioner of Police and Police Station in-charges were also present in the meeting.

Addressing the meeting, Police Commissioner Mishra said that Navratri and Dussehra festivals are major festivals celebrated with great pomp and enthusiasm in the city. During this time, a large number of people from the city and other cities and towns come to the pandals sites and Garba sites to enjoy the festival. To ensure their safety and the security of the pandals, CCTV cameras should be installed at Durga pandals and Garba sites, and female volunteers should also be appointed for the safety of women.

Take special precautions during Navratri festival, Garba Mahotsav, Ramleela, Ravana Dahan, procession, procession and idol immersion and take care of the security of the general public. Programs like tableau and Garba should be stopped at the prescribed time as per the instructions of the government. Also, loudspeakers and DJ should be played at the prescribed time and decibel, otherwise legal action will be taken.

After this, suggestions and problems were also sought from the dignitaries who attended the meeting and appropriate guidelines were given to the concerned officials for their immediate resolution. In the course the shortcomings seen during the previous festivals were discussed and assurances were given by the officials after discussing the same.
