Mayor Malti Rai inaugurated the Children’s Fair organised at Cambridge Higher Secondary School in the state capital on Saturday.
The inaugural ceremony was attended by Councillor Priyanka Mishra, members of the school faculty, students and distinguished citizens.Rai cut the ceremonial ribbon to inaugurate the fair and visited stalls set up by the students.
The mayor interacted with the pupils and encouraged both the students and the school management for organising both educational and cultural activities.
Separately, the Mayor formally performed the Bhumi Pujan for various civic projects in municipal wards number 48 and 49.At Ward 49, Rai commenced work on the road tarmacking at E-6 Arera Colony.
The project involves an outlay of Rs 45 lakh. At Ward 48, she laid the foundation for cement concrete roads, drains, and the installation of paving blocks in the Shahpura area.
The projects involve an estimated cost of Rs 25 lakh.Speaking to residents on these occasions, Rai emphasised that the goal is to provide the best civic amenities to the citizens of the city.She said that providing prompt redress of civic complaints remains the focus of her office.
