BJP state president Babulal Marandi has drawn the attention of the Hemant government towards the negligence prevailing in the Mainiya Samman Yojana. He shared a post on Instagram saying that for the last two days, I have been communicating with the villagers during the public relations campaign in various villages of Dhanwar assembly constituency. During this, a large number of women from more than a dozen villages including Koradih, Jagdishpur of Dhanwar block shared their problems. Most of the women told that they are still deprived of the benefits of Mainiya Samman Yojana. The forms of many eligible women have not been filled, due to which they have not been able to get the benefit of the scheme. There is also a lot of negligence in the payment of Mainiya Yojana. Babulal further said that old age pension and widow pension are also pending for many months. Complaints of huge irregularities have also been received in ration distribution.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren is requested to organize special camps in Dhanwar assembly constituency and other areas of the state and get the forms of all the women deprived of Mainiya Samman Yojana filled and the payment of the scheme should be given to them on time. Along with this, the pending pension and ration should be paid up to date so that women do not have to worry about their basic needs. Wherever you need their or BJP workers' support in this work, we will all be present.
The Jharkhand politics was dominated by women welfare schemes this election as the state has an astounding 12.8 million women voters. And political pundits are of the opinion that along with other factors, the Mukhyamantri Maiya Samman Yojana, played a significant role in benefitting the INDIA bloc in the state.
Both the ruling coalition and the opposition in Jharkhand focused on the state’s 12.8 million women voters in the gear up for the November 13 and 20 assembly elections. Following the trend in other states like Madhya Pradesh and Karnataka, political parties unveiled schemes targeted at women, either as a continuation of their existing policies or as promises for the future.
On August 3 this year, the JMM-Congress-Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) government launched the Mukhyamantri Maiya Samman Yojana, providing Rs 1,000 per month to women aged 18–25 years, benefiting approximately 5.2 million women. However, the INDI alliance in its manifesto announced to raise the scheme amount from Rs 1000 to Rs 2500 per beneficiaries under the scheme.
