The Delhi Police arrested a 37 year old man who murdered his wife on the suspicion of her having an extramarital affair in North Delhi’s Wazirabad village.
According to the police on Sunday, the husband has been identified as Ved Prakash Tiwari and the wife as a 27 year old Parul Tiwari. Elaborating on the case, DCP North Manoj Kumar Meena said, “Information was received at 8:37 am on August 5 regarding Khasra No. 107, Gali No. 14, near Tent Wali Dukan, Wazirabad Village, about lady being dead and on receiving the call senior officers arrived at the scene, finding Parul Tiwari, dead on the ground floor.”
He added that they had two daughters aged 4.5 years and 2.5 years, who were also present there. “Crime team and Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team inspected and photographed the scene. The body was shifted to Sabji Mandi Mortuary. The husband of the lady was not found on the spot,” Meena said.
Further, proceedings under Section 194 BNSS were initiated and statements of relatives were recorded. In the latest development in the case, murder case under section 103 BNS has been registered as per the statements and circumstances. “The husband of the deceased lady has been arrested in the case. Motive of the murder was suspected extramarital affair of the wife,” another senior official said, adding that the Post mortem has been conducted.
